Recommended Itineraries

Your First Safari & Southern African Discovery

For those who want an insight into Southern Africa and experience places that are known for their awesomeness: this safari will not disappoint. “Dip your toe” into the lively culture, attractions and market places of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, then “take a deep dive” into the pristine, wildlife environments that Botswana offers and finish in one of the best cities on the world, Cape Town. Stay in hand picked lodgings that will suit you and your interests. This safari will be a total getaway and will allow you to experience the beauty and energy of Africa that people become addicted to and love. It is also a journey where you will not have to worry about anything and feel safe and well looked after at all times.

Starting at one of The Seven Wonders of the World, Victoria Falls, this a lively, activity-filled, cultural place that will give you the chance to buy art and curios and introduce you to Africa and it’s people. Zimbabwe is currently going through huge change, making it fascinating to witness at this time. The positivity of the people and their eagerness for tourism will come as a surprise to you and it makes this town such a fantastic first destination.

An easy transfer by road takes you into Botswana and thereafter the wildlife of Chobe National Park will leave you in awe. This area is known for its wildlife: elephants, predators, and big game (Sometimes I feel like I’m in Jurassic Park when I’m there). From here, you will fly down into the Okavango Delta and this pristine paradise will nourish your soul and you will not want to leave it. It’s probably the vast, untouched remoteness that does it, but you feel like you are separated from the rest of the world and the clear waterways seem to wash away all worries. Being on foot and seeing African wildlife is an experience you will never forget and listening to the stories of the guides who have grown up in the area makes it so special. This is one of the last true wildernesses left on earth.

You will then fly out of Maun to Cape Town, (back into civilization) where you will see this beautiful city under the spectacular Table Mountain. Cape Town is known for its depth in so many things- food/wine/history/art/geography/weather- and the many activities to choose from will leave you feeling inspired. Your private driver will take you to the wine lands where some of the worlds best wines and fine foods are produced so you can spend your day touring and experiencing the famous beauty and tastes of the region. Perhaps at this point you, will remember that you are on holiday, relax and enjoy before your journey home.

This tour covers a lot of ground and is designed to be a “snapshot” of places that will enrich your life and give you a true insight into “the real Africa”. Of course, if you have more time, it would be wonderful to add in more days in these diestinations.

The Solo Traveller

As a single traveler, your safety and security is assured from the time you arrive in Africa and you will be in the company of professionals during your entire trip. Our tailor-made safaris for solo travelers are bespoke and are structured so you get to share activities with other guests if you wish, or you can choose to travel with a private guide if you prefer to enjoy the freedom to set your own pace and schedule.

If you are travelling alone, you will dine with your hosts, guide and fellow guests and venture out into the bush and enjoy wildlife sightings and sundowners with other like-minded travelers. You will naturally engage more with your fellow guests and with the camp staff. Our mission is to ensure that you get the most out of your travel experience with us and at all times, feel safe, feel engaged and relaxed whilst traveling.

There are a range of excellent safari lodges and camps to choose from or, depending on what your needs are, we can assist in booking some more adventurous pursuits. These could range from basic to fully serviced camping trips, safaris by boat and mobile safaris and combine a spectrum of activities. For some, we combine these services and experiences so that a combination of them can be put together to form your own private, exclusive and unique safari.

Some safari lodges waive single supplements during the green season and shoulder season and we have contracts with these properties to ensure that you are covered from that pricing perspective. We also only recommend and suggest the safari camps, lodges and services which we know and understand and in doing so, would not recommend services which we feel do not have the right focus to cater for the solo traveler’s needs.
